1/ BRAND OF OPEN MINDS
After many years in the watch industry, Niklas Dahlgren realized that there was room for improvement. The entire industry had started to stagnate and customers’ needs were no longer taken into account.
It all stemmed from the lack of choice and that the customer was always faced with the choice; functionality or design. The concept of fashion watches was in its infancy and at that time there were only a few brands that defined themselves as fashion watch.
The year was 1999 and Niklas Dahlgren had just come home to his hotel room in Luleå after a long day out in the field. But this night was different. A certain frustration had begun to grow within him, why is this type of product so limited in its execution? How can a watch be called a fashion clock, if it looks the same year after year? Is that fashion?
Barely 15 years after the original idea was born, Niklas and his friend Daniel started the journey and the goal of creating a watch that takes into account both functionality, quality and each individual’s individual style. The list of requirements was long; High quality, solid construction and focus on sustainability.
The brand and concept were created and launched under the name BOOM Watches, where the word BOOM stands for Brand Of Open Minds!.

2/ FOUR PARTS. ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES
Created in Scandinavia. Designed by you : The concept is simple. To offer all customers high quality watches with the ability to design and create their own personal watch according to their own taste and style. Because we’re all different.
The watches are created in four parts, where each part can easily be exchanged for a new one to create a completely new look on their watch. In this way, we create a personal product that we hope can reduce today’s overconsumption.
3/ INTRODUCING THE BOOMBOX
Creativity doesn’t really stop there. In addition to offering a personal and durable watch, the product is always delivered in one of our nice boxes.
The boxes are carefully designed to make it easy to store your parts in a neat and practical way, while being the perfect gift to give away. Depending on how many separate parts or ready-made watches you order, we adapt it to the Box that fits best. Of course, we offer the box in case you shop four, or more, parts from us.
4/ SUSTAINABILITY
Overconsumption : In a world where overconsumption is too common and a big problem, we want people to start thinking more environmentally consciously. We are keen for our fine earth to feel good and our concept is strong from a sustainability perspective.
Recycled materials and environmentally friendly alternatives : We have developed a bell band that is produced from recycled plastic from the Mediterranean. It is also better from an environmental perspective to mix and match different parts compared to buying several watches.
We also see a secondary market, where customers exchange parts with each other and on that path extend the life of the parts.
Our packaging is made of cardboard. We avoid using space as much as possible and recommend anyone who buys from us to recycle the packaging if they don’t want to save it. We have designed our packaging to be used as a storage of the watch and its parts for as long as desired.
Ensure the right working conditions : For us it is important that our suppliers work in good working conditions where they receive equal wages, work normal hours and have access to safety equipment. We are careful that the factories comply with human rights.
Reduce our footprint on earth :We have free shipping and free returns for our customers within the EU. Our return percentage is low and below 4%. We are very proud to have such a low return figure, that it is barely existing.
Equality : We are a company that thinks about and includes everyone regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender identity or geographical origin. We try to create products that everyone can use and where no one feels excluded.
A product : Our goal is to create a brand where you can easily change the style of a watch by replacing a part or two. We know how important it is to be able to create your own style and be able to adapt the clock to different situations and environments. We want to give the opportunity to create a watch that is as unique as you.
It is important to be able to easily change the clock as you change and therefore it never goes out of style. With us on the market you don’t have to buy a new watch for every occasion, you just need to change the top ring, strap, case, watch or all parts and create a brand new watch yourself.
Future : We hope to start working with water based PU to create environmentally friendly vegan plastic bracelets. We also look at working with recycled stainless steel in our metal parts. The leather we want to be locally produced from Sweden.
HOW DO I RETURN AN ITEM? We understand that sometimes you change your mind. To start the return of your purchase you need to register your return in our return portal.
WHAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE AN ITEM? Did you find anything else that you wish you had bought instead? It’s okay, you can always change the item. To make a change, you first need to register it in our return portal, then you send back the item you want to exchange and you can then place a new order on the part or product you want instead. As soon as we receive your returned product, an automatic payment will be made to your account for this item.
COMPLAINT : In case of complaint, please contact us on info@boomwatches.com with full name, order number, description of problems and desired action. If possible, we recommend that you attach a picture of the perceived problem to make handling easier.Mark your email with Complaint + full name.
WARRANTY : It is 2 years Warranty on all our parts/watches. This Warranty include defects in production and/or material within the warranty period. We offer you the opportunity to extend the warranty to 2years
REFUND : Refunds on return or complaint will be made to the same account that you used to make payment. The refund is usually made within 3-5 business days from the time the warehouse receives your order but may take up to 30 days depending on the payment method you have chosen
